Hi everyone!

I have just bough a 2003 Defender 90 TD5 and absolutely love it but still trying to get my head around it so I fear I may have to ask some very stupid questions - please bare with me ha!

How do I operate the rear windscreen wiper? Nothing I do seems to get it moving so I don't know if I need to replace the motor or something or if I'm just being thick!

It has also a blooming annoying recording device as a rear view mirror and I'm keen to just remove it and be old school! I assume to remove it I need to follow all the wires to the fuse box and then order a replacement?

Thanks in advance!!

The rear wiper is just operated by the switch on the dash, a simple on off switch, if it is not working check the fuse and wiring.
The rear view mirror, as you say trace the wires and disconnect them and fit a new mirror. Has the previous owner disturbed the wiring while fitting the camera.

Ah yes I had assumed that was it and definitely doesn’t do anything so I will look into wiring n fuse! Thank you!

They do also tend to seize up so try and squirt some penetrating fluid into the shaft before you start on the fuses etc. That way by the time you have fixed the leccy bits you might get it moving as well.
