It won't fit as I think you will find the fuel filler is at the back on the TD5/TDCi and at the front of the 200 tub. Unless you plan of moving the fuel tank.Hey guys,
So just wondering, can I fit a TD5 or even a TDCI rear tub to a 200tdi chassis? I've been looking for long enough now so I just thought I'd ask as I can not just find a straight forward answer.
Many thanks
Good point... It's a 90Also may help if you specify if it is a 90 or 110, in case it makes life more interesting.
Cheers
Yes it can be done
i have done it on my 90
the tank is still in the original position
will get some pics up over the weekend if it helps
In short, yes.
But you will either need to fit a rear plastic tank, or re-route the existing pipework to the rear filler.
I have done td5 tub on my 200tdi 90, and have gone with the rear plastic tank, but I have seen pipework re-routed before and it does the job.
Sorry to hi-jack this thread but was wondering if you could tell me what you had to do to alter the td5 tank to work with the 200tdi? Read that the td5 tank has a pump in the tank where as the 200tdi tank doesnt.
Cheers
That is correct, you need a new sender, part number WQB100430.
This is the ROW spec pump, similar to the td5 ones, but without a pump and only an inlet and outlet.
I would love to see some pics if poss, sorry for the late reply.... Trying to juggle work life, social life and a new born, and no I havent dropped him..... YetYes it can be done
