Can anyone help on removing the rear springs on a D2 - they seem to be different from the write up on the D1.

I have jacked up the truck, removed the rear wheel, supported the chassis on axle stands and undone the shock absorber bottom bolt, undone the antiroll bar drop link and installed a spring compressor on the spring.

What's the next step please?

Have a look above^^^^

It does work , if you get someone to convert it to a PDF and then put it in their dropbox where you could download it from........

Cheers

I do have a .pdf copy of the D2 workshop manual, as well as RAVE, but at 35.4 megs big, it's a tad too big for attaching to an email and I don't have a dropbox.
If somebody could give me an address of where to put it, I'm sure that could get sorted.

you dont need a spring compressor, use a bottle jack between the rear trailing arm and chassis, and push axle down as far as brake flexi allows spring can be removed and replaced then

Changing to supporting the chassis made all the difference although the spring compressor did help insomuch as I didn't need to force the axle down - it just came away easily.
Had to order a new top isolator as mine was rotten, and now I can attack the holes in the chassis behind the spring. Fortunately it's only on the passenger side :)
