Rear door sensor

Hi, I’ve just bought a Freelander 1 TD4 and the rear door closes properly, but sometimes the lights don’t go off and I get an open door light on the dashboard. Also when locking the vehicle the hooter will toot to signal that there is an open door. Do I have to remove the back panel to find the sensor or is there an easier option.

You need to identify the door responsible, then replace the lock assembly on the door you've identified as the issue.
