Hi I've got another newbie question to ask? Will a disco 2 rear bumper fit on a disco1 as the wife desided to widen the drive with the rear of my disco. No damage to any of the pannels just the rear bumper has a lump in it now so back door won't open. I've tried to knock the lump down but its bomb proof and won't budge so a mate has gave me a disco2 rear bumper but not going to even try to fit it till I find out if it will fit. Cheers

We have been here before but no one has done it and come back to tell the tale ....I would love to know ! I reckon a D2 bumper would be the biz on a roadcar D1 ....do it , mate ! And take photos !

I am sure that when I looked into this, as mine is a bit rusty 
that the D2's are slightly wider, so you need to cut a slice out of the middle of the bumper and plus you need the extra corner trims - might be wrong of course, as there have been a fair few sleeps since I looked at doing it....

The D2 backs are black , right ? With some of the front ones body coloured ? Im not up on D2s at all ....but if the back ones are black plastic they would take a plastic weld less visibly ....or could you trim the ends inside the trims instead and move the fixings to suit ? The front body coloured one would be cool , with the round fogs .
