Hi hope some one can help, i have a p38 {1999} and i need to put a tow bar on it but i have the lpg re-fuel socket on it, do i need to have this disconnected or can you leave the bumper on to fir a tow bar, some people have said i need to take the bumper off others say not ,

they fit on a cross member at the back, have a look to see if there are holes there already, if there are then you may just be able to bolt it on, if not i dunno.

as Hammy2909 states the cross member is inside the bumper skin / brace. i know as i have just removed my towbar but left this in for future owners. quite easy to remove just have lots of wd40 to hand for the bolts. The links on landrovers.net are a great guide. also a gentle nudge of the mudguard area will help free the bumper brackets off their sliders.
