I don't know about the steering
Something to think of U-joins like is a fuse... It's better to replace a
u-joint, then a axel.
Also, if your u-joints have grease nipples on them, make sure you are
installing them the correct way. Yes there is a wrong and a right way to
install a u-joint. You want to look at where the power is coming into the
u-joint and out of the u-joint. You want to make sure that you are
squishing the grease nipple, not pulling it apart.

It does not really make sense until you take a good look at it and think
about it... but when it clicks, you will go "duh, why didn't I think of
that"
