Rattling!

Theres a bloody annoying rattle coming from the rear axle on the disco.

When ever i go over a bump it sounds like somethings rattling under the back of the disco, but cant figure out what it is. Everythings bolted up right. i dont think its the QT guard hitting the propshaft as it goes around. So i'm not sure. It sounds like the springs bouncing in the mounts to me, as we didnt put the rubber things back in, but that cant be right there no where near full extension. and the compressions too good to make a gap.

Try the dust guard on the rear discs.

Anti Roll bar balljoints can rattle if seriously worn, worth checking fuel tank as well!

well its definatly metal on metal. sounds like a chain but its not anything

mine does the same sometimes on tickover when not moving, sounds like something loose in the back door or round the fuel tank, gotta fit the new lift pump so i can live with the noise for a few more days till i get a chance to climb under the back

I agree with Redhand that it is most likely yer dust guards. Mine rattle like buggery. When I next fit some pads I will sort em out.
