To fit or not to fit 🤔
I’ve had one sitting about for ages and I’m now wondering whether or not to fit it. I have the dash out at the moment and it’s the ideal time to cut the section out of the lower heater duct before I refit it. However I have a new plastic trim for the top edge of the duct and this would also need to be cut up to fit the Raptor dash. I hate the thought of cutting bits out of a perfectly good part to fit aftermarket stuff, so I’m in a quandary.
Who has one and thinks it’s a worthwhile addition ?

It is only worth while if you need to mount extra things. I wanted extra switches for winch lights and electric fan, along with a stereo so I fitted one to mine. I then had to fit extra things to fill the space so ended up with a couple of gauges that i didn't really need.

If you have nothing extra to fit i would not bother, as you can get a factory radio mount and just use the current centre panel for rear wiper, clock and 12v charger.

I’ve got heated seats fitted and thought about switches for those going on it. Also going to fit a rear work light at some point. I’m now thinking im talking myself into fitting it instead of out of it 🫤 Why is life so difficult sometimes 😁

If you do fit one, it is worth the extra effort to wire in the panel as to quick release multipin plugs so if in the future you need to take it out or access behind you don't need to label and disconnect each wire individually you can just unplug the whole panel. similar to the below where I have included front and back pics

That’s tidy, and I think I have a box of multi plugs somewhere. Cheers 👍

I've got one. I had the similar dilemma.

The fake leather trim on mine is poor, and, I figured, if I ever wanted to set back to stock, I could just weld up the lower dash and retrim.

I fitted it, and it's good - I can't see myself ever wanting to take it out.

Mine was second hand with powder coat peeling off the rust, so I did it in epoxy and 2k matt black.

I’ve got one of the Mudstuff dash pods to go on top of the dash. I preferred this option as I didn’t want to cut a hole in the middle of my dash. As mentioned, they are good to mount extra switches and guages but no point in fitting otherwise.
