Sorry mate I live in ouston Chester le street, the car starts on petrol then when warm switch to lpg, put key in ignition and have to keep pressing the buttons to get the immobiliser off it doesn't work all the time. It's only 16 minutes by train back to Durham. Some times, but if I use key it opens and locks as it shouldFob buttons? Do they lock/unlock the doors ok?
Not always at the filler cap, the Fob lights up and it has had new batteriesDoes the fob work if you stand by the filler cap? The receiver antenna could be disconnected meaning it won't always work by the front door or in the ignition. It goes into positive immobiliser mode after 30s of unlocking
Does the red light always come on when you press a button? The fob might be poorly and/or need a new battery
OK will that thanks for your adviceFind someone nearby with a Nanocom and turn the off Immobiliser along with the EKA in the BECM, end of problem unless there is a problem with the alarm.
Have you got the vertical contact strip inside the battery carrier covered with a bit of insulation tape Mike?I had same issue since replacing fob batteries. It happened EVERY time most recently. Last night I got totally pi55ed off with it, stripped it down again and then very carefully rebuilt it. Working perfectly now. There was clearly something not lined up correctly when I previously put it back together. Operator error on my behalf. Good luck sorting yours out.
After rebuilding it last night Alan it's working perfectly. Many weeks ago, Arthur kindly donated me some parts to repair my fob he'd been keeping in his drawers. I'm betting his testicles are grateful!Have you got the vertical contact strip inside the battery carrier covered with a bit of insulation tape Mike?

I don't have an issue at all now Alan. If you can find the photo you reference, I'm sure it'll be handy for others in the "collective".Don't know what happened to my reply Mike, have you got the vertical contact in the battery carrier covered by insulation tape,I'm sure I posted a photo years ago.
