hi there i have just bought a 1997 p38 and there a few little niggles and was wondering if anyone could advise.
first is on first start up the engine idles badly for a few minutes worse when cold and hunts from 1000 to 500rpm.
second when put into neutral the revs rise from 750rpm to 1000rpm
and thirdly the heater on puts out hot air on the passengers side no matter what the temperature is set at.

hope you can help me with this thanks
 
First off I would look for air leaks in the intake system. Use a can of carb cleaner and spray all round the joints, if the speed picks up you have found leak. As far as the heater goes, do a search on hear for blend motors- its probably the most covered topic on here.

I'd be surprised if this doesn't nail it. Good advice!
