Hi guys,
I’ve got a 2003 4.4 L322 with a air suspension issue. I’ve read through a lot of posts however can’t find anything to help my issue. So the problem is, when I go to raise the suspension the orange light flashes but doesn’t stay constant and as a result the vehicle doesn’t raise. Likewise it wouldn’t lower into access height, only remain at normal height. The compressor wouldn’t make any noise however we’ve put power to it directly and can hear it working.
The only fault codes it showed were;
High pressure exhaust valve fault
High pressure exhaust supply fault
Exhaust valve fault
And there was another about temperature
These were cleared and didn’t come back. On one scan it did say battery low which also was cleared.
My mechanic did some kind of test and it showed the compressor at 113 degrees which he thought is the fault and thinks it’s the compressor.
Right now the the suspension has dropped on all 4 corners and is somewhat a bumpy ride however no lights on dash. There is a noticeable ‘squish’ sound from the front right wheel when going over bumps.
Sorry for the essay guys but what do you think it could be? I don’t want to fork out on a new compressor if that isn’t the actual problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
On a side note, twice when playing around with the ‘low’ range button I’ve had the ‘transfer box neutral’ come up and have had to remove the transfer box, spin it and put it back on. Any idea why it’s keep on doing this? Thanks in advance.
