Hi I'm new to landyzone, hoping that someone can help me with my issue,
I can drive for miles with out a problem, but if I stick my foot down to overtake i get the dash fault come up, I have a icarsoft, when I plug it in it comes up with, Fuel rail pressure plausibility, once reset it's fine,
This is driving me mad,
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Just a thought , Have u fitted a good quality fuel filter not a cheap one

is the MAP sensor clean

what fault codes have u had plse
 
Also isn’t there near the leccy pump a T piece which they think has some type of valve in it ?
 
Check for injector leak off issues or the fuel regulator O ring goes brittle causing a drop in rail pressure when high demand is required.

What does the iCarsoft live data say the rail pressure is when you put your foot down, does it rise nicely or rise a little then struggle to get much higher?

When I put my foot down, is near instantly & goes into a limp mode.

Again, what is the fuel rail pressure readings in live data when you put your boot down.....if it remains low or doesn't rise with engine rpm, then either the injectors are leaking off excessively, the fuel pressure regulator is leaking back due to failed O ring, or the pre-supply pressure is too low.

Pre-Supply pressure at 4.19 bar is very good, 5 bar is excellent, less than 3 and you could have issues....so 4.19 is bang on.

Now, your rail pressure at 296bar - I take it this is at idle..... it is a little low for idle as I would expect over 325bar....350bar is better....

This is my M57 powered BMW 530d on INPA...you can see my rail pressure is 348 and it rises nicely when the engine is revved, and then it dips to 327ish and then back up to 348 ish....



What does the reading read when you rev it?

FYI: Here is one for a M57 525d and it shows the idle rail pressure close to 350-360....etc...



If your rail pressure is low, it could be the injectors leaking back excessively which will reduce rail pressure, or the fuel pressure regulator O ring leaking past.

Good morning where is the fuel pressure regulator location, Is this the same as the fuel pressure sensor?
