Range Rover help?

Hey im new to this forum , and new to the big mans cars cant wait tho.

Im after getting a 2.6 or 2.5 diesel range rover not sure the shape but around 2000 reg. The one with the square back and lights.

What are they like running costs , any better than the petrol versions?

Also what shall i look out for when buying a used range rover.

Any help is thankfull..

Hi and pre-emptive welcome to the club

The most important thing to look for on a Rangie is its service history.. See whats been done to it previous and what mileage. You need to realise that when these go wrong you can be looking at very expensive bills...

Questions to ask are, have the blend motors been replaced and when, have there been any issues with the air suspension, and have any parts been replaced recently (air springs etc)

If the anser is no, then you may have these to replace in the not to distant future depending on the mileage
