Can anyone offer me advice regarding my range rover evoque 2016 key intermittently not working. I can be pressing up to 30 times to unlock my car. It's not the battery as no warning/message in the car set up. It seems to be worse when the car is parked outside my house but has happened now in other locations. I keep my key in a tin so it's not susceptible to interference. I'm really at a loss - I bought the car 2nd hand, drove it 3 months with no issues & now this has started happening everyday. I always manage to finally get it unlocked or locked but it worries me.
Am I doing something wrong or going crazy?.....
Keyless entry i dont think has been set up - nothing happens if just have the key & try to open the handle.

Changing fob battery would be first on list to rule out, unless its one of the ones that charges from the ignition barrel then i would be looking as to has the passive coil moved ,which has been heard off before.

Hello! Did you solved your problem? I had the same thing when i got nissan x trail (2015). I changed fob battery and got new alarm system (one of these https://www.bestadvisers.co.uk/car-alarms, if i'm not mistaken) so confidently can say that alarm changing helped)

Got to hope that after, almost, a year, he and his ejoke have resolved their issues. Most likely by using a gallon of petrol and a match :)

Today our Evoque wouldn't unlock with either fob. None of the buttons on the fobs working. Never happened before in 8 years ownership. We got in using the manual key and the car started ok but still no lock/unlock etc. Checked the fob batteries - both ok so checked fuses 17 and 37 which are marked "keyless entry control module" - not blown - but on re-inserting them, everything started working again. Coincidence, or did removing the fuses reset something? Will repost if it happens again.

Sounds like it did a hard reset for the ECU. RF interference from mobile phone and other transmitters can block the signals from the FOB

It either reset the receiver module, or there was some corrosion on the fuse contact point, which was cleaned by removing and refitting the fuse.
I remove and refit all my fuses occasionally, as it's surprising how corroded the blades get.

Nowt wrong with the Ejoke as long as you accept it's just an overpriced unreliable FL2 in a posh new frock at 3 times the price of a reliable Dacia Duster that does the same job:rolleyes:
A 4x4 version of the duster was ptted against the d5, it did 90% of what the disco did:eek:

The transfer boxes have a different look to them between the évoque and fl2. The fl2 has fomoco written on them. The recent évoque I serviced had different markings on it but practically the same set up.
