Raised air intake

I want to get a raised air intake (snorkel) for my Defender 110. Landrover Oman asked for equivalent of GBP 558 for the part alone (fitting extra). How much would this part cost in UK or elsewhere?

ask marcus he our resident snorkel expert. he may even offer to make one for you as he's really quite good at it.

Safari snorkels for a deepender are between £100-150, cheaper ones from paddocks are around 75quid.

you could also make your own with some drainpipe, flexi-hose and sealant... there are other posts on here about how to go about it. search snorkel or raised air intake see what comes up.

over £500 is a nono. if you want, give paddocks a ring and see if they can mail one to you for an additional cost.

Hee hee, funny you shud say that Slob, fitted me new one today & not a lighthouse or coffee pot or fish bowl in sight!

It's a copy of a Safari one, cost £105 including delivery & was a piece of **** to fit. No holes in the bodywork (well except three small ones to hold it over the air intake & 5 teeny ones on the pillar fer the bracket) & no bodging to fit, well chuffed.

WTF, over 500 notes the guy is talking about, fer a snork'? Wassit made of titebluddytanium?
