quick help with springs ? Thx

Hi all , swapping the springs and shocks today , A quick question ??

Which way up do the springs fit ,, tighter coils at the top ? or at the bottom ?


I have watched a few vids now , and looked a pics and googled what I can , and it seems that people are fitting them with tighter coils in either orientation ???

any thoughts ..

it doesnt matter to spring or vehicle but if tight coils are at the top it makes securing the rears easier with the 2 bolts for the retainer

I fit tight at the top,

That way all the muck and other interesting stuff that seems to find its way into awkward places can fall out easier.

yes, and at front you will need to hold the shock at the weld at the base of the tube

Quick help , how tight do I do the bolts on the top and bottom of the damper I can’t find any settings
