Freelander 1 Question about tyres

Hello! I know that this has been discussed before, but please clarify to me this problem. I want to change the tyres that are now Maxxis Bravo 771 AT 98T 215/65/16. My question is if I can put other All Season tires and not All Terain, without damaging the VCU. I will keep the same rim but i need to know if i can swap All terain tyres with All season tyres with the same specification for Load, 98 or highte, because in owner book manufacturer said to fit AT tyres for this rims. But i don't use the car for off road. Thank you.

As long as you replace all the tyres at the same time. You can fit whatever you fancy, as long as they are all the same. Replacing all 4 with a full matching set won't harm the VCU at all.

At tyres aren't exclusively for off road use. They can be used exclusively on road if you wish. I prefer AT tyres because they generally give much longer life than road and winter biased tyres.
