Putting IIA LWB body onto Rangy chassis

I am contemplating this as I am fed up with the bad and unpredictable drum brakes on my IIA. As I use it everyday I thought the most sensible solution would be to use the running gear of a Range Rover. I have seen this done with a 110 chassis successfully. Obviously I know some cutting and stretching will be involved. This is not a problem as I have a decent MIG and fabrication skills.
Can anybody please advise me if there are any possible points to pay particular attention to ?
I am running a N/A 2.5 diesel engine so conecting a servo should be straight forward.
 
You will lose your tax exemption if you change to coil springs and disks.

It maybe better to fit 11in drums and or a servo to it first.
but if you are still not happy then try fitting a series disk kit (I forget who makes them but they are allway in the back of LRO).

Or if all else fails buy a Range Rover or a Disco and keep the 2a for the weekend.
 
or (im no expert on this so some one correct me if im wrong) you might be able to put rangie axels on it with a bit of bodg........fabrication that would get you 'better ratio' diffs and brakes, and they are in most tat yards for not much (or fleabay)
ive heard of people doing it but im unsure of the work involved.
