I'm Paul, I live in Bedfordshire not far from Milton Keynes.
I have driven Land Rover's off road a few times, including at Highland Safaries in Scotland and also in Scotland for a 2 day Land Rover 2010 launch event. I really enjoyed the experience, and understanding what these vehicles can achieve, but I have never owned a Land Rover vehicle or been part of a 4x4 club util now.
Last weekend I saw a very good condition, fully maintained, 1999 Td5 Discovery ES advertised, complete with Snorkel, driving lights and with a 20k mile engine. So I decided to take the plunge and buy the vehicle with the aim for me and my two adult sons to enjoy some spare time driving our new member of the family along green lanes and then progress to 4x4 off roading. In the coming months we hope to join a local club and say hello to our members.
