I`ve just replaced both uj`s and all nuts & bolts on my front prop but it seems to be vibrating at about 35-40 under load.

Does anyone know if the prop could be out of balanceor is there a certain way the prop has to go on?

There's a few things to check. Starting with the easiest:
  • Tyres could be out of balance - swap the fronts with the rears and see if the vibration changes.
  • The steering damper amy be worn - whip it off and see if the resistance is consistent - often they get worn around the centre.
  • The front prop may have worn splines. Remove the front prop, lock the diff and drive away. If the vibration is gone then it could be spline wear or out of balance (unlikely but possible).
  • I know you said its the front - but vibrations can be very naughty and pretend to be where they're not! So the rear prop may have worn UJ's, worn splines, or be unbalanced.
  • It could be a worn diff nose bearing or transfer gearbox output bearings. Leaking oil and movement can help you diagnose.
Those are the simple things and should be discounted first really.
