Propshaft gaiter

Hello,

I've taken half of my front propshaft of so I can replace the the gaiter that split then fell off. I have the part stc2955 but I can't get the gaiter to go over either the splines or the other end of the shaft. Any one got any tips or ideas on how to get it on please?

Some one on here suggested using steering rack gaiters which i though was a good idear
