broken propshaft,
traveling about 30mph last week, when there was a big bang under car,by the way only a novice diy'er, got under car and the prop had broken at the joint and also the back flange, managed to take prop off, then drove home but the lights on the gear selector was showing drive when the lever was in neutral, got prop fixed, hoping this would sort out gear selector, but it is still showing one below actual choice, i.e, put selector in park, but will only light up reverse so can not use park at all, the prop did look as if it did some damage when it went, i noticed a cable just above the prop had been caught, any help before i book it in at local garage would be most welcoming,
