I have a V reg freelander which has spat out all the oil from the prop viscouse coupling and making a strange grinding noise. I have droped the prop down before it seizes and smashes the gear box, but has any body any ideas as to how you get the coupling off the prop please:confused:. PS are recon units any good? :DThis is now yet an other 2 wheel drive Freelander.

drop the prop off, theres a bolt each end of the coupling in the uj. undo these part way then get a wedge in there and belt it hard as ya can, that may break te splines hold on it, or you can take the prop off and whip it round to a garage and get em to strip it for ya while ya watch, then you can fit the new coupling yourself while you now know how to do it:D.

island 4x4 are about the best for couplings/pricewise
