Prop shaft help defender 90

Hi, I have a Defender 90 300 tdi 1996. and the rear prop has gone! trying to source a secondhand one and been told i have the 200 tdi prop? it doesn't have the rubber doughnut around the UJ.

Question, Does the Discovery 200tdi prop fit?

Anyone have a prop i can Buy?

Can't advise on the Disco part, but thought it was part FRC8392 - a google search will reveal stockists at around the £110 mark

Am sure James will correct if I'm wrong

searching that part number brought me about paddocks website, £58 +VAT Bargain!! But is the guy who advised me about it being a 200 tdi prop right???

He said the 300 tdi should have rubber near to the UJ? and people changed them out for 200tdi props as these were better for off roading?????

Mine just has a UJ each end no sign of any rubber!!

Advise please.

Sorry - need someone else to answer

I was only aware of two props if your Landy has front and rear discs (which from the year it should) - 4 cylinder engines and V8s

Wasn't aware of differnet props by diesel engine type - might be wrong

Searched another site which suggested FRC8393 as being the right one???? My database says that's the one for axles with remote breathers and disc brakes

Please get someone to confirm - would hate you to order and it be wrong

discovery have doughnut defender never did 300tdi def and disco front prop the same rear obviously different def 200 tdi different length to def 300 tdi which is the same as 5spd v8 you would want frc8393 lr £294.92 ,britpart and bearmach £60 +vat

text is alright apart from 200tdi as lt77 sits about 2 inches further back than 300 and v8
