Hey everyone!

I'm Fernán Borge from Costa Rica (Central America). Since I have memory I LOVE Land Rover and all 4x4 stuff. This year finally I got the chance to own my first Land Rover, a Discovery I 1994 3.9 V8. I've seen a lot of amazing projects around here that just makes me wanna mod more my car! Hahaha. Not as amazing as your projects, but just... WAIT :mil43:! Anyway... here are some pics!

Mods/Accesories:
- MSD High Performance Blaster Coil, High Vibration
- TJM +2" Coils and +2" Pro-Comp Shocks
- Roof Rack (Think it is Safety Devices, just cut it a little bit for height clereance)
- 2 Diffused Rigid Industries LED Lights for Reverse Lights
- 2 Flood and 2 Spot Rigid Industries on the Roof Rack in front (AMAZING)
- Front winch bumper designed by me :) with 10.000lbs Smittybilt X2O COMP
- 2 TJM Xray Lights 100watts
- Last but... most important... a Crazy Land Rover Lover Driver hahaha!
- TJM Airtec Snorkel is coming this week
- 2.8 Isuzu Turbo Diesel is coming hopefully at the end of this year!

Sorry 'bout my english, isn't my native language so I may make some mistakes! Hope to hear some opinions :D Cheers

Hello Fernan and a big welcome to the Landy Zone - you'll find lots of like-minded LR fans here.

You look like you are having great fun with your Disco and it looks very smart, especially in picture no.4.

Don't worry about your English, it is very good.

Cheers
Dave

:welcome2:

That is a nice looking Disco - well done.

As Dave said, don't worry about your English. It is clear and easy to read which is more than can be said about some of the native English speakers on here.

Thanks for your welcomme messages :) and yeah, I think the most important thing to know when visiting another country is asking for beers! hahaha.

I have a question, does anybody have a Disco that is Special Vehicle? There's a sticker below the "clear coat" of paint and a metallic(aluminium?) plate in the engine compartment that says Special Vehicle, Contract Number, etc. Since the day I owned it, I wanted to know WHY it is an Special Vehicle... Paint color? Any ideas?

The Special vehicles dept of Land Rover builds vehicles that are based on std vehicles but with adaptions for special working environments.

A classic example of this is the 'Commercial' Discovery which only has 2 front seats, the rest of the space has a flat floor for rugged working requirements.

There are also special versions of Defender for the Gas and Electricity Utilities companies.

I thought it was Special Vehicle for extras, but it doesn't have sunroofs. Apart from that is a normal Discovery... Doesn't have any special "tool" or equipment. I think it is for the color, but I want to be sure haha! I'll take a pic of the plate in a moment

Got a present from my boss today :)
New speedometer cable... now I can see (in numbers) how much money in petrol my thirsty V8 drinks. hahaha

Yeah, you're right. But I want to keep a record how much I pay monthly in petrol so I can then compare it to the Isuzu 2.8TD :)

Also.. today I started making a "horizontal load space divider"(?).. I'll paint it black and it'll be done!
