Hi,
When I purchased my 2016 Defender90 SW 3 weeks ago from a reputable dealer (not LR) it came with one key and immobiliser key fob which is the one with the chrome strip down one side and two buttons (Think it is very similar in style to the Discovery v4).
The supplying car dealer agreed to obtain a new key and fob. When they took the items obtained from a Land Rover dealership for coding at the same Land Rover dealership they were told that they, Landrover, hadn’t ordered the right parts for behind the dash or door car to programe the newkey fob, they key fob was ordered correctly however.
Does this make any sense to anyone, it just seems bizarre that parts have to be ordered for behind the dash and door card for the immobiliser new fob to be programmed?
Thanks in advance..
