None of the steering wheel controls, (cruise control, audio, heated wheel and horn) work on my 2006 3.0TD6 and the head unit does not power on, no lights or logo on it. Are these likely to be related to each other?

There is power to the TV Tuner in the boot as that makes a noise when the ignition is switched on and there is a red light coming from the fibre optic plug on it

Water ingress in the rear near side quarter is a common problem, often fries the sat nav drive. Also, if you changed the battery, did you follow the procedure and wait for the LED on the drive to go out? If not the drive may be toast.
