Hi all
I have encountered a problem...I have had new rear crossmember fitted and new bulkhead out riggers. The man who welded it is a superb welder and a landy nut, so I trust his work.
I have fitted the rear tub, bulkhead and when I went to fit the roof that's when I found alignment issues, ie the roof to windscreen was very out.
And as you would expect the doors will not fit when held up in place:doh:
I am not sure it the rear x member is 'up' by 10mm thus making the tub not sit right and making the doors not fit.
Or, the b/head o/riggers not quite right thus making the b/head not square.
I have discovered that if I remove the 4 long bolts on either side of the chassis fixing the b/head, and applying the help of a ratchet strap I can 'square up' the bulkhead and align the doors, if i re-drilled the mounting bracket then that would hold b/head square.
But I feel I may have further issues with the attachment of the wings.
What are your feeling on this 'issue'? do you reckon my method of squaring up the landy will work?
