how do you reply to a private message? i cant seem to find a button that does so? am i missing domething or am i doing it wrong?

hit 'quote' at the bottom of the message.

Alternatively click on the name of the person you would like to send a message to from the list of users in the last 24 hours at the bottom of the home page. View their profile and click send private message.
