Hi all,

First of all thanks for any help. In advance. Much appreciated.

It's a very simple post, I simply cannot understand the pricing of these cars.

I'm after a 2.2 HSE with low mileage. I have around £8-10k to spend (obviously I'd like to spend less if possible).

Why, when I look at Auto Trader are there cars with roughly similar mileage, and wildly different prices.

Just one example;

For £14,000

Or

For £10,000

Is this just about mileage?

Doesn't seem to make sense when these 2.2 diesels will easily go into 6 figures without missing a beat.

Just a bit confused.

Also, with the 2.2, I've heard there are 3 variants, 150, 160 and 190bhp. Is the 190 the one to go for or can you achieve this with a simple remap of any option?

Again thanks in advance guys much appreciated. I'd just like to know the best 2.2 HSE to go for as it's a bit confusing for a newbie to Land Rovers like me.

👍

The second hand market car sellers are seeing us coming for those whom want an FL2 HSE and other upper models, before you buy put the reg in we buy any car and see how much they would give for that car you are looking to buy, because that is where most are coming from.

You will have your eyes opened.

Tax is high and insurance is high on Land Rover models in general :mad:

190 only available on the later auto. The manual box won't take that power. Its not rated for it. Well it will but not for long.
