Hi to all tax runs out in a few days so I intend to lay the old girl up for a while maybe a winter project this year (or probably next ) all in all she is in good nick what I'm wondering is what to do prior to the long lay up I'll be able to turn her over and maybe even drive her on a piece of waste land every so often but I fully intend to return her to the road fitted with a new chassis she'll be outside so I don't want to strip her until I am ready to begin a rebuild ( hopefully this will be done under cover )
any suggestions will be welcome

put some oil down the cylinders, just a squirt or two. put it on axle stands to avoid getting flat spots on yer wheels.
and if yer gonna start it at any time get it really warmed up or you'll rot the eggsost.
there a whole lot of other **** you can do but ah dint remember it all at the moment

According to Turners the engine people a squirt of bike chain lube in each cylinder will help if the engine is not to be started for a while. The stuff sticks to the cylinder walls. And of course disconnect the battery and keep it charged or you'll have to buy a new one. If you have a fancy linear charger like a CTEK, you can leave the battery on charge for ever with no damage.
