hello
can anyone tell me what year the powerfold mirrors came in and are they fitted to all freelanders after a certain year or extras???

cheers dean

Physically fiting them is easy. Yuu need to prize the triangular black plastic trim from the inside of the door. Remove the wire connectors and bolts to take the old mirror off.

Offer up the mirror to the door. You will see that it is pretty similar but you will see that one hole in the door isn't big enough. Drill this out to 13mm, through the outer layer of metal only. Paint the bare metal and allow to dry.

Refix the mirror and reconnect the cable. Check that when the ignition is on, the mirrors heat up and adjust.

Can't help you with the powerfold. The powerfold may simply require a power feed and a switch, or you may be able to get hold of a proper powerfold switch (like the mirror adjustment joystick) but whether it is plug'n'play I don't know. Do a search on "powerfold" and see what comes up.

Cheers
