New to this forum boys, from n.ireland. Owned a 300 tdi for 6 years or more and have finally bit the bullet and am going for a half chassis. Was just wondering if there is any easy way to gear up my landy easily to make it a nicer lower revving road goin vehicle for motorway cruising. E.g is a discovery transfer box higher geared?

disco box will improve motorway cruising, shortening wastegate rod a little and reading this should give some more omph

Flog yer tratter and buy a Freelander. Tis the only way to speed it up and make it more comfortable. Yer pig will thank yer for it too. :)

Welcome to the forum.

Yea, found that tread there! Good job! Need a transfer box now! Haha power isn't a problem, waste gate is tightened and pump adjusted and an allisport intercooler kit fitted! Just was wanting to know if a disco was higher geared that's all! Thanks for the help boys! Any other mods you boys reckon I should consider when swapping chassis? Cheap ways to make the beast quieter are welcome! Haha thanks again lads! Website is very useful!

And I will for sure not be selling the weapon for any freelander or disco! Haha too attached!

Ur a smart man, I've a good tartan rug here I could swap u it along with a picnic basket for a spare set of ear defenders! They'd fit in well with you're freelander!

Ere go:

Plenty of threads on here about most things, I have just bought two packs of six Rolson water resistant floor mats ,

cost about £30 and have used it too sound proof mine it is enough to cover floor and wheel boxes in my 90 as well as both foot wells and on top of the seat box,
