Hi all, I don't have a Rover yet but i'm upgrading my motor and I can't decide between 2 totally different vehicles. As I know nothing about them or have even driven one yet I would love to get some honest advice from the experts.
I currently have a CLK320 which I love to bits and has never given me a moments worry in the 12 months i've owned it and I initially have been looking to get another one but the convertible.
The problem is that I still can't get out of my mind the possibility of wanting to buy a 2000 Range Rover 4.6 that i've seen. I don't know what it is about them but I think they look absolutely lovely.
Fuel costs are also something else I take into account as my CLK is quite thirsty and the Rover that i've seen has had an LPG conversion carried out so fuel economy appears that it will be much better on hte Rover.
So, I must say the first post I read on this forum was one from mud flap who was/has left but his post didn't actually give a single point of assurance of the build quality of the Rovers. Now I appreciate that sometimes people just get bad ones and things can seem terrible for them but generally how good are they?
Fuel economy, has anyone got an LPG conversion, are they good? i've seen reports of being able to get 30mpg but other people have laughed at that saying you will be lucky to get 20 on such a big heavy vehicle.
Any advise would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
The build quality of my CLK is awesome and why at the moment its still just winning in the possible purchase but i'm still not 100% sure.
