poor starting when hot and errattic tickover when very hot

hi i have a 1998 p38 2.5 dse manual 110000 miles on the clock, that does not want to start when hot ,and after a motorway run has a very errattic tickover .the vehicle has been chipped and goes very well i have replaced all the leakoff pipes and i know the pump in the tank is ok .i have read about the relay and resistor fix but it wont help the tickover

Hi. hot starting problems are well documented on here. There is a fix, which involves adding a timed relay and resistor to fool the ecu. But basically it is a problem that not only effects the RR but also the 2.5 bmw, and other cars with the 2.5 bmw engine.
