just picked up me freelander a 1999 1.8 it was bought with a blown head gasket when i got her home have checked the oil no theres no sludge clean as the day it was put in there the garage say she has no compression but she will start after awhile she runs a little lumpy and when you go to rev her if to quick she will die if brought in slowly she will go up through the range any suggestions?

Not sure what your asking for. If its got HGF then thats the problem. The only cure is to pull the engine apart and fit a new gasket (simply put). It an't gonna get better and there is no magic cure. You don't want to keep driving it like that or its going to become a bigger problem.

Head gaskets can fail between the bores and/or oil ways, not just to the cooling system. Buy a compression tester and check all the cylinders.
