Hiya all!! I need some advice from you guys...
About a month ago I got the common fault of lifting EPB and getting a screeching noise and fault come up on screen telling me the system is not working. I turned ignition off and tried again and it worked.
Today I have had the same problem, awful noise comes when I try and apply handbrake and it doesnt go untill I release it. The handbrake has'nt stuck so I can still use car but I wondered if by putting the car in to park mode (I have automatic) it seems to roll back a tiny bit and apply some kind of brake to make the car stop. When im doing this it doesn't tell me that the handbrake is on but it still stops the car from moving. Is it safe to use the Park mode on gear box as a temporary handbrake or will this fail and my car end up in a ditch???
I am supposed to be going to manchester this weekend, from London to see my freind and need to know if it will be ok over weekend untill I can get it booked in with main dealer
Any advice will be highly appreciated,
Many thanks,
Maria
