was woundering if somone could tell me how to remove the plastic trim under the front lights. I am going to remove my front grill and have a go at painting it. the screws are easy to see and take of, but i cant see how the plastic trim under the lights come of as i wish to paint these also. If when I take the grill of its abvious then sorry in advance as I havent removed anything yet!!

It's the removal of the headlights that's the problem. They are held on to the body by a couple or so nuts which can rust onto the studs that are "Moulded" into the plastic lamp body, the nuts turn the studs and unless you cut them through...which scraps the light..you can't get access to the screws that secure the trim.
Not worth the hassle, just mask off it's quicker and easier.

My grill and light trims were very faded and grey looking, so removed the grill and the headlamps to get the trims off. No problem, you do need to remove the headlamp wiper arms too. Once off (2 M6 screws and 2 M6 nuts) the trim is secured with 2 self tapping screws. I masked the colour parts and sprayed with some Halfords Black Bumper paint, I needed 2 cans and was very impressed with the results.
