Piston ring gap

Hello all,
I'm currently building a 2.25 petrol, it as been rebored with new pistons but the ring gap is a bit to small, the worst is 0,25mm and the best is 0,30mm, and from what I can tell it's supposed to be 0,38mm-0,50mm.
Can I use the ring i have or do have to source some other ones?

If the gap is too small then you'll most likely have problems as the get hot and expand

I would check the piston clearance first. Did you supply the machine shop the pistons before rebore?

Check before you file.

The piston ring gap has nothing to do with piston clearance in the bore?

No that's true. But

.
If the bore is too tight for the rings is it to tight for the pistons?
Not all +20/? are the same.

Always best to measure a few times before get the grinder out
