Pipe Adaptors ?

Hi Chaps,

Series 3 88 1984.

I have just renewed master and slave clutch cylinders. and the flexi pipe to be sure. The Master seems to have an adapter... pipe into adapter into the old cylinder.

Where can I get these from ? I haven't seen them anywhere, I assume thats what I need for the slave cylinder as the pipework definitely doesn't fit. I wish I had known about them before when I was doing the brakes.

Can you not remove it from the old master cylinder, I know on defenders you can unscrew it and put it on the new one

To confirm its the metric/imperial adaptor.... I cant as need the connector for the master cylinder still.

I have stacks of brake pipe etc and fittings but nothing for clutch pipe

Its a FEMALE to Male adapter going from

Old money to new money...Can someone give me that in tech speak.

Is that 7/16th UNF to Metric

On the master it looked like a size change ie pipe is larger than cylinder hole.
Non on my slave which I have just replaced .
Will have a look at my spare today if I get a chance.
Parts listed in this ebay add do not show adapter at slave.

Have seen a banjo adapter on some slave cylinders not sure if that was early or later

Hmmmm I will have another go, the union seems too small for the slave cylinder and its a perfect line up so expected it to work.. Like an idiot I already binned the old cylinder....

They're the same, aren't they...?

Either just chop the end off and put a new flare/union on, or make up a short adapter pipe.

Nope clutch is wider... I think it is anyway... Turns out if was (cough) user error..... Lined it up differently and straight in and home !!!!!!!!!!!!
