I'm in the process of installing generic towbar electrics into a 2010 Freelander 2. I've nicked the permanent live feed from the towbar electrics plug behind the trim to power the bypass for the 12N socket, but I now need another to power the split charge relay for the 12S socket to charge the leisure battery. If possible I'm trying to avoid the grief of running a cable directly from the battery. The manual indicates that fuse FA11 is 40 amp rated for trailer power. Does anyone know if this would provide a permanent live? If so, I'm thinking that one of these: Amazon product plugged into FA11 may give me a permanent live local to the relay in the boot.
