I get it all the time. Nearly totalled a small Korean thing last week, was less than a car length!

Today close and did 25mph afterwards some crappy small people carrier. Held me up for 3 miles until they went a different way.

Why do people who drive slowly keep pulling out in front of me?

Never happened with previous cars - but the Police used to use some of them.

i used to find the opposite in the 90.

it looked like such a wrecker i think folks were afraid they would catch rust.

i used to get all the space i wanted - even in aberdeen where the drivers are chuffing nuts.

the only other vehicle i had that got so much space was an LWB hi top transit.

the berlingos seem to be fair game for dicks in audis to pull out on me at short notice

When my last car was new to me (V6 Omega) I used to get people panicking as the same colour and shape was used by some Police forces, it was great.

But my D2 is big, light in colour and tall, why would some dickhead in a small Kia or whatever (I don't know the Korean cars or many new ones) risk their life by forcing large heavy off roaders to emergency stop.

Either they pull out onto a 60 limit road, then drive at 40 (why not wait for me to get past, there's no-one behind me!?), or they pull out, only to stop 50 yards down the road to turn right!
OR they don't see me! I can (sort of) understand a car driver pulling out in front of a bike, but how anyone can miss a vehicle 6 foot tall with a white roof is beyond me.

I was a bus/coach driver in the seventies & again in the nineties. We were always taught never to brake hard under these circumstances, as it can cause more injuries to passengers than the car's occupants. Someone flung a car door open in front of one of our buses (I was an inspector then) one day, resulting in .....well how many remember the film 'smokey & the bandit' ?

They do this to me all the time my car must have a stealth mode button that i cant find to turn off

People love pulling out in front of me. On roundabouts, and junctions, and best of all are the people (usually in a silver hatchback) who tuck themselves in behind a large lorry on the motorway and decide to pull out and overtake just as I'm doing so. I'm not quite sure what the rationale is. Maybe they think that if a Land Rover can overtake it so can I.

I am sure our old caravan had a cloaking device, but I used to tow with a large petrol engine car, power to weight ratio was rather good.

Haven't you noticed its always the same type of car? and the drivers all look the same? It's obviously a conspiracy - look for some sort of tracking device on the underside of your car. They know your normal routes, they know where you are, they're out to get you.....

LOL i did that once 3 series BMW :D made my day, i swear she did it in purpose, if it had been a 4 door ide probably have missed it but it was a 2 door :D bent it completely round flat with wing, transit with bull bars 1 BMW 0, and her insurance pad to have the side of my van repaired :5bsmilielol5:

I too find that people give my old defender, with all the bits of heavy duty ironmongery fastened to it a wide berth. White vans, buses, little old ladies in Korean hatchbacks they all seem to avoid being in close proximity, I could get a complex!!

Or as I said to the lady in the car park the other day "please don't bang your door into my car" As she was trying her hardest not to add the paint from her car door to the collection of other colours on my rock slider. For a moment she thought I was being serious.

Try riding a motorbike every day the clowns don't ever see you! I was once told years ago "Ride like you are invisible!" and that's the best advice I have ever had!

Most days someone tries to kill me :eek::pound:

I got an 88 v max with some snotty stainless cans on it,so with lights on and the engine on song, they **** themselves as I dive past after I`ve been pulled out on.hehehe.
