Vehicles in the Countryside in the Peak District National Park
Recreational motor vehicles in the Peak District: Peak District National Park Authority
Update July 2013
The Roych
The outcome of last years public consultation and the decision on how to take this forward will made at the meeting of the Audit Resource and Performance Committee on 19 July 2013.
We received a great many consultation responses to our proposal to permanently prohibit vehicles from this route which forms part of the Pennine Bridleway.
Papers will be available the week before the meeting on the web-site Committees: Peak District National Park Authority. The meeting will be held at our offices at Aldern House, Bakewell DE45 1AE.
Chapel Gate
The public consultation has now expired on a proposal to make a traffic regulation order to permanently prohibit motor vehicles from the Chapel Gate route. Thank you to those that contacted us with your views. We will now spend some time carefully considering them.
We are not able to confirm in advance when your views will be reported until much nearer the date of the committee meeting. When the date is identified it will be shown at TRO consultations: Peak District National Park Authority. Statutory consultees will also be notified at this time.
Statutory consultees include highway authorities, parish councils and organisations representing recreational users and are shown at Recreational motor vehicles in the Peak District: Peak District National Park Authority, with contact details where available. Dates for the Audit Resource and Performance Committee meetings are shown at Committees: Peak District National Park Authority. Agendas and papers are available the week before the meetings."
