Passenger door latch assembly

Hello guys my passenger door stopped unlocking and locking and it won’t let me open the door from the inside and out, luckily I got the door open by putting a screwdriver in the striker plate bit to manually push up the pin, I have the door card off and can’t see anything wrong, which makes me believe the actual latch assembly is shot, how hard of a job is this to do? It’s on my 2005 110 which is in good nick
