Hi guys,
Got a different type of parking sensor fault to the other faults I have seen on the forums.
When I put the Freelander into reverse I get a short beep and then silence. The light on the reverse on/off button remains a solid orange colour inidicating that the car doesnt think there is a fault.
Each sensor is clicking and beeping away but only when i rub my finger directly on the sensor for a few seconds. Seems like the sensors are working but have lost sensitivity? I have tried cleaning with electrical cleaner and also WD40 to draw out any moisture but still not working unless i touch them directly.
Do all the sensors need replacing or is the ECU not giving them enough power or somehting?
Thanks for your input trying to diagnose exaclty what it is as even a aftermarket sensor is £45 each so hesitant to buy 4 new ones if it is something else
