Hello,

I started painting my land rover with Non-Iso paint and I've some across a strange problem. This is the paint i bought;

http://www.jawel.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=177_178&products_id=3409

Overall, its very good, just needs a lot more thinning than recommended for rolling. However, my issue is it is destroying the rollers. I get about half way through a panel the roller has disintegrated. I've tried a few different rollers of different prices. The strange thing is its fine with emulsion rollers, its only the foam ones. Paint brushes are fine as well.

These were the ones i used last

Anyone had any experience with this? or possible solutions?

Nothing strange about what you are experiencing at all. The 2K on it's own will probably eat them fairly quickly, but you note yourself you are thinning it quite a bit.

Tip some thinners onto a lot of plastics and they will be destroyed in seconds.

I don't have a cure for your problem as I have only every sprayed 2K etc.

Possibly a high quality low pile emulsion roller would stay together long enough and give an OK finish.

I find t strange because I've seen some threads on mig welding forums about following 2k primer and apparently it's pretty standard. I'll have to just buy hundred of them!

Ask the guys on the MIG welding forum what they are using then, possibly a toluene, xylene and ethylbenzene resistant roller sleeve exists.
