p38a high level brake light

hi is there anyone that can give me the following info please , i have just bought a o.e high level brake light for my 1998 4.6 hse strangely its not fitted as standard , but the hole in the panel albeit blanked off is there , what i would like to know is , is the wiring already there in the tailgate or do i have to link in to the existing brake light circuit any help on this will be appreciated thanks.

Pretty 90% sure its already there. Ive seen this question asked before and the answer was 'dont know, have a look'. So open the tailgate and remote the black trim at the bottom of the tailgate. The wiring will be in there. It was certainly in a couple of peoples who asked over in another RR forum. If you have a HSE it should be there. Has it ever had a replaced tailgate at some point??

Removing the trim is about a 10 mins job so worth it just to find out

thanks for the quick reply wills , not sure about the replacement tailgate , i also remember seeing a post on the subject but buggered if i can find it now , as you say its a simple job to pop the trim of a have a look thanks anyway .
