p38 window banging!!

Hi there first post for me, need a little advice for my n/s/f window which bangs when it hits the top of the frame, window motor keeps powering it up until you press down button. Its as if it cant tell its hit the top and wont cut power to the window motor. Its a 96 p38 HSE.

Any help would be great
