p38 wheel bearing

are the front ones hard to do any info please

Without a 30 ton Hydraulic Press..nigh on impossible to do them properly. Loads of heat will just melt the prepacked grease in the new bearings and they won't last five minutes.

PM me your email address and I will send you a write up of my procedure for doing them.

Then try local engineering shops or garages for location of a press and a few bits of suitable steel for mandrels and you are in to saving yourself a fortune. My advice if you are going to replace them is to do both sides...it's sods law that the other one isn't far behind.

Stealers won't entertain just changing the bearing. They will only fit complete new hub at around £500 per side plus labour.

They won't even sell the bearing..it's not a stock item for them.
